1. Append the new domain at the file /etc/mail/sendmail.cw, say: newdomain.com
yourdomain.com
newdomain.com

yourdomain.com : your original domain name
newdomain.com
: new domain name



2. edit a file /etc/mail/virtusertable and append the following line.

@newdomain.com        username

username : All Emails under @newdomain.com will send to username.



2.1 If you want to receive email in separate accounts try:

cklam@newdomain.com           cklam
mchan@newdomain.com           mchan
info@newdomain.com            cklam
maggie.chan@newdomain.com     mchan
@newdomain.com                mchan

cklam :Emails send to cklam@newdomain.com or info@newdomain.com will store in cklam account.

mchan :Emails send to maggie.chan@newdomain.com or mchan@newdomain.com or any other username under @newdomain.com will store in mchan account.

3. execute the command makemap to generate the new virtual domain table.

# makemap hash /etc/mail/virtusertable < /etc/mail/virtusertable


4. restart the sendmail

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail restart
